Club News & Announcements
Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, September 12th at Stoneforge, led by President George Mendros. We welcomed Visiting Rotarian Cherie Kostant from the Middleboro Club and her husband, Larry, as our guests.
Cherie and Larry shared information and flyers for an upcoming gala in support of Congregation Agudath Achim of Taunton MA. For more information or tickets you can email: fundraising@tauntonshul.com.
Interact update: The club had its first e-board meeting last Friday and its first general membership meeting of the new school year on 9/13. Volunteer opportunities they have already had interest in participating in include: A 5k memorial walk in Rhode Island; Our Daily Bread Wine Tasting; Liberty and Union 250 in Taunton; Make-A-Wish, Coins for Cambodia, and possibly another blood drive. Additionally, Will be representing the club on an upcoming district-wide Zoom meeting about Interact Clubs.

At our most recent meeting...
...members enjoyed a presentation from Pierre Charles, Career Mentor Coordinator at Associates for Human Associates. Pierre shared his passion for youth mentoring, detailing how it is crucial in providing young individuals with guidance and support, helping them navigate life's challenges, and making informed decisions. Additionally, it fosters personal growth and development, empowering the next generation to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to society.
Pierre asked everyone to consider being a mentor this year, and to share his ask with each of our networks. The number of students allowed into the program is directly related to the number of mentors they can sign up, so if you are making a difference in a kid's life for 2-3 months this spring for about 5 hours a week, please reach out to Pierre at pcharles@ahsinc.org.

AHS- Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser! 🍝✨ Enjoy a delicious meal, great company, and support a worthy cause.
Zulmira had a Happy 5--for Pierre as our speaker; also happy to have Melissa from AHS; spaghetti supper next Friday; wine tasting will be November 14 at BCC in Fall River; and happy that Dan continues to do well!
Carol had a pair of Happy Bucks--for our guests visiting from Middleboro and for attending the Co-op gala tonight.
Dave C. had 5 Happy Bucks--Thanks to Ed for last week's presentation; Happy for Dan who looks and sounds great; and 3 for his son who played hockey last weekend and got a hat trick.
Joe had a couple of happy bucks because he got to spend a few days with his two brothers in Newburyport.
Our guest Larry had a happy buck to be here today.
Jen had a Happy Buck for Cassandra who recently passed her professional ethics exam. She had a second buck for the amazing weather.
John D. was happy to have 3 great employees selling for him. He had another buck for his son Connor who successfully transitioned into 5th grade--he added that he can't say enough great things about Taunton Public School staff.
