Our most recent meeting was held on January 2, led by President George Mendros. We welcomed Carol Sullivan's daughter, Becky, and granddaughter Megan as guests.

News from the Taunton High Interact Club:

The Interact Club is hosting a Coat Drive! Please consider donating any gently used winter gear items and bring them to our January 30th meeting. Club liaison Will Mendonca will collect items and get them to the Interact Club.

...we welcomed Jeffrey Pelletier, President of Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts. Junior Achievement is a recipient of a Rotary donation, and were pleased to welcome Jeff to learn more about the program. Jeff shared that Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with the public, private and education sectors to advance career readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy education for students across the region. Under Pelletier’s leadership, Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts has grown its student education programs which now serve over 6,000 students annually across 21 cities and towns.

Edith Colón, Director of Partnerships, also presented to the club and shared about JA's Company Program, which allows high school students to experience the inner workings of entrepreneurship by creating and operating their very own businesses.

Jen had a Happy buck for being in the Top 10% of Loan Depot production in our region for 2024, with an increase of 35% for the year!
Dick had a Happy buck for a recent trip to Arizona, enjoying 3 nights near Phoenix and then 3 nights in Grand Canyon West with the family.
Carol Sullivan had 5 Happy bucks, 2 for her guests, 2 for our presenters, and one for a Happy New Year.
Will had a Happy buck to have guests from Junior Achievement here today. He had a Thanks buck to Mike for doing happy buck for him at our last meeting, and added an extra Thanks buck to Carol and Carol for their work on the Kids' Christmas party which is always such an enjoyable event!
