Club News & Announcements

President Bob gave the membership some updates and information regarding Club activities:

 
Bob is reviewing the results of the member satisfaction survey and will offer a report on the data at a future meeting.
 
District Governor Roberts sent his update recently. It included the fact there are District grants available for projects before the end of the Rotary year, which President Bob is investigating and an update that Rotary 's disaster relief fund has been directed towards efforts to support the crisis in Ukraine. 
 
Foundation Chair Joe Mitchell followed up with a Rotary Minute also on Rotary's efforts in regard to the humanitarian disaster in Ukraine.
 
President Bob shared that the TASC Spelling Bee has been scheduled for April 27. Rotary won the whole thing only a few years ago,  and he encouraged club members to check their calendars to see if they could participate to return us to our former spelling glory.
 
Save the Date for Family Fun Day!  June 11 (rain date June 12), 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Camp Riverside. 

At our most recent meeting...

Our speaker this past Thursday was Erin Cohen, Director of Development for Road to Responsibility. Erin was accompanied by Taunton Director Angela Gaudette.  Road to Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was founded in 1988 with the strong belief that individuals with developmental, emotional and behavioral challenges deserve to have full and rewarding lives in the community. That belief continues today. They are committed to providing all individuals with opportunities to truly live in the community. Happy/Sad Bucks

  • Katie had a happy buck for Jean Luc's article in the Taunton Daily Gazette. She had a sad buck for having to leave before the end of the meeting. 

  • John D. had a happy buck for his wife's recent graduation from the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy. He added a happy buck for his family's new puppy, and a sad buck for the devastation in Ukraine.

  • Dick had a happy buck for his recently trip to California. He added a happy buck for the University of Kentucky Wildcats #2 seed in the March Madness Tournament. ... ðŸ˜¬

  • Dave had a "thank you" buck to Katie for the Family Fun Day flyer which he showed to the group. He added a happy buck for securing FFD's  2022 Premier Sponsor: Mechanics Cooperative Bank!

  • Joe had a happy buck for the Celtics beating Golden State the night before.
