Dan L. attended the Taunton VFW 100th celebration on behalf of the club and saw a few other members there as well.

The "Family Feud-style" fundraiser at the Elks was rescheduled for September 26 at noon. We'll hear how we did at this week's meeting.
Finally, our own 100th Anniversary celebration is October 28th!
Joe Mitchell shared a Rotary Foundation Minute.
And we were able to sing Happy Birthday to John D. (belatedly).
At our most recent meeting...
President Bob shared some updates from Bristol Community College as they move into their new home at the former Coyle-Cassidy building in Taunton. Bob shared some things not reported in the news, but if you want to catch up on all that happening, here's one of three (!) recent articles from the Taunton Daily Gazette:
Thanks Bob, and best wishes for a great school year!
Happy/Sad Bucks
Julie had five happy bucks (which included one extra to save making change!) for: 1. Having to leave last week to get new tires, but so happy that she was able to work with Aziz who is amazing! 2. Her 22nd wedding anniversary! 3. Her husband's one year anniversary of teaching music lessons locally and loving it!, and 4. For dropping off paperwork for her Rhode island real estate license. Congrats, Julie
Dick had a happy buck for having attended a lovely dedication and recognition for Dick Johnson earlier that day.
Paula Raposa had two bucks just because she was happy to be with us.
Joe M. had a buck for having a Foundation Minute.
John D. had a happy buck for moving along with the certification process with the VA for his new business, and a second buck for the beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday he received only minutes earlier from all of us.
Dan had a happy buck for the recent sponsorship for our 100th Anniversary from Nerds to Go. He also mentioned that he was able to attend a "thank you" event at the Y where they recognized Rotary for donations in the past year.
And I am re-sharing one of Dan's bucks from last week, and hoping the flyer is actually attached this time! so from last week: Dan had a buck for a Teen Challenge Benefit coming up on October 16-17. Flyer is below.
If anyone wants more info, they can either call the number on the flyer or reach out to Dan.
