Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, November 14th at Stoneforge, led by President George Mendros. We welcomed Rotary District 7950 Governor Sharon Johnson and Assistant Governor Carl Alves for lunch.

Announcements:

The Taunton High Christmas Party chicken sign-up has begun. Please let Ed know if you can attend and if you are bringing any guests so that we can order catering accurately. The deadline to RSVP is 11/21 and the event will be 12/5.

Our holiday service project of the Triumph Christmas party will be held on 12/12. There will be approximately 30 kids to throw a party for and give gifts to. If you'd like to donate to this project, you can bring donations to a meeting or contribute using Venmo. If you use Venmo, please leave a note with the donation so we can track it properly.

...We were pleased to welcome Rotary District 7950 Governor Sharon Johnson to address the club. She shared the story of her path to Rotary as well as the directives she has been giving to impart on our club to make her year a success. She has 2:

1. Net two new members this year;

2. Make our club "irresistible" to our guests and visitors so that they will want to join and participate in what we do.

She also shared several upcoming Rotary events and encouraged us to join.

The Rotary Foundation Dinner will be at White's of Westport on November 17;
Our District Day of Service will be May 17;
District Conference, Southbridge, MA, Theme: Magical Mystery Tour, May 30-June 1;
Rotary International Convention, Calgary, June 21-25. We hope to send 75 members from our District.

Zulmira had a Happy buck for our District Governor visiting. And she had a Happy Buck for the AHS wine tasting next week.
Assistant District Governor Carl Alves had a Happy Buck to be with us. And a Happy Buck for our District Governor.
District Governor Sharon Johnson had a happy buck to be joining us for lunch today.
Will had a Happy Buck for our Governor and Assistant District Governor joining us today. He had another Happy Buck for his first taste of the Providence College basketball experience this past Monday when he attended their home opener and had a great time.
Carol Sullivan had five Happy Bucks, for Sharon; Carl; Carl's donation to the Children's Christmas party; the Interact Club who were a great help at the party last year; and for this year's party which she is looking forward to.
