Next Meeting: August 31 **Million Dollar Meal at Maureen's** (Aug 23, 2023)

For our most recent we joined the TACC at the Old Colony Y for their noontime networking and community fellowship.

This week:

We are meeting at Maureen Cody's house ( ADDRESS) at 5:30 on Thursday night for a Million Dollar Meal. Our District Governor will be attending. This is a potluck event and Maureen is coordinating. Please let her know what you can bring.

This isn't a speaker update, but a Service Project update!

It has been a busy summer for The Rotary Club of Taunton, as the club put into action behind the motto of “Service Above Self” for the Greater Taunton community. This summer, Rotarians collected back-to-school supplies, donated from local businesses, including Morton Hospital, the Raynham Flea, and others.

With help from the Taunton High School Interact Club, Rotary’s program for young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills and become future Rotarians, the backpacks were packed full of school supplies and then donated to local organizations in time for the new school year. In total, 85 backpacks were delivered to the Old Colony Y-Taunton Branch, Girls Inc., Triumph (Head Start), the Clarion Hotel, and Our Daily Bread Food & Resource Center.
