Our most recent club meeting was held on March 12 and led by President Bob.
It's been a busy week of Taunton Rotary! The Board met on Tuesday night, and Thursday evening, after our regular weekly meeting, Rotarians and members of the Taunton Lions Club met at AHS to pack the supplies donated as part of our Winter Care Pack service project. Thank you to everyone who donated, served as a drop-off site, and met to pack the backpacks! We'll share distribution pics in a future edition of the Bulletin.
All are invited to Rotary's Skate for A Cause on Sunday, March 29 at the Providence Bruins. Joe and Bob are going and would love a few more Taunton Rotarians to represent. You can find more details here.

At Our Most Recent Meeting...
...we were entertained and educated on currency and currency collecting by Ed Fowler! As always, he brought dozens of interesting examples related to his topic. This time, he covered the recent increase in demand for gold and silver, as well as his successful auction pickups of historic Taunton banknotes.
The highlights were too numerous to recount, but included specialty gold coins, examples of silver bars, and rare Taunton bank notes he’s been able to gather and bring home.
And don’t forget! If you have any 1964 Kennedy half dollars, they are 90% silver (not just 40%), so keep them!
George had a Happy Buck for his second full week as "a shiftless layabout."
Jody had a Buck in honor of George’s retirement.
Will had a Buck for George. Also a Buck to thank the board for helping sponsor a bus for the District Youth Conference at the former Bishop Connolly campus in Fall River.
John D. had a Happy Buck that everyone is happy about George retiring.
Ed had a Happy Buck to share some memories of Tony Lopes. Being co-owners of WPEP with Tony for a few years led to Ed learning all sorts of things about baseball and professional umpiring. For example, how all baseballs used in the majors are rubbed with specific New Jersey mud.
