Our most recent club meeting was held on August 14 and led by President Bob.
Bob shared an update from our most recent Board meeting.
There will be a small increase in membership fees.
We are creating a new tier--Friends of Rotary. Friends can participate in projects, come to lunch and pay each time, but they are not official members of Rotary International at this level.
A small working group will be developing a new application for community groups to request support from Rotary. More news soon as that group works through the proposal to bring to the club.

A reminder that this week, our guest will be Rotary District Governor Nicole Brien. Let's have a nice turnout to welcome her to our club!

...we finalized the plan for the plan for the completion of our backpack service project. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of Rotarians, including generous support from Morton Hospital, the club was able to donate 20+ backpacks each to the students at the Old Colony Y, Girls Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South (Taunton Clubhouse) and Triumph Head Start. Inside the backpacks were schools supplies, as well as stickers with positive messages to encourage and support the students as they begin their new school year.
The drive was led by Rotarian Carol Sullivan who worked with Rotarian Christine Kelly, at the Raynham Flea to order, organization, and fill the backpacks. A dedicated team of volunteers including Sullivan, 2025-2026 Rotary Club President Bob Rezendes, and Rotarians Heather Chew, Ed Fowler, and Mike Tabak delivered the backpacks on August 14 to the local organizations.

John had a happy buck that after 19 years on the Patriots season tickets waiting list, he got on! He had a buck for the opportunity to buy a 24 ft Key West boat which is moored in Warwick, RI. The family has had it out 6 or 7 times so far this summer and enjoying it. And he added a sad buck, that a DHS cyber security update meeting is going to be twice a month on Thursday at noon, making it harder to attend, but he'll do his best
Ed had a buck for some helpful advice to John for his wife's seat being right in front of his.
