A reminder, the Rotary Foundation Dinner will be November 15. Details are in the header of this email. So far we have Joe M., Johnny B. and Mike T. representing the club at this event.

Ed Fowler needs a count for our December 6 Taunton High Christmas meeting this week. Please be sure to let him know if you are planning to attend.

Carol Sullivan announced the Head start children’s party for December 13 at 5 p. m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church. Volunteers are needed.

Last Week's Speaker

At our most recent meeting on November 8, 2018 our speaker last week as Lee Him, Marketing specialist for the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant. Lee discussed the TMLP’s expansion of fiber optic internet service. Lee is a native of Cambodia and was a longtime resident of Attleboro until moving to Berkley recently. The TMLP is now targeting businesses for the expansion of their service and will try to fill in residential services once they have found an anchor business to bring service to a particular neighborhood. Fiber optic service allows for expansion of band width, which means more service and more powerful service. The TMLP also offers some less expensive service options than its cable company competitors. A very thought provoking talk. Thanks, Lee for joining us!
