 President Announcements

President Joe gave a reminder for the scratch ticket raffle fundraiser: SELL, SELL, SELL! The drawing will be April 28 so let's get all those raffle tickets sold!

President Joe also reminded the club that he would be attending the district conference Thursday-Saturday.

Rotary day update: Dave presented a sponsorship plan for Rotary day entertainment. He and Carol will be working to sign on corporate sponsors in the coming weeks. Dave has worked up a "best" case and "base" case plan to ensure that we meet our fundraising goals. If you know of a business who may be interested in sponsoring, please pass along your contacts to Dave or Carol as soon as possible.

Program Speaker
Our speaker this past week Carol Sullivan who spoke about her recent trip to Rotary's President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS). Carol was happy to report that our activities and attendance are right in line with many other local clubs. She has some exciting new initiatives for consideration next year, including a backpack donation program and reading to young kids at school. A group discussion followed which hit on many topics including the concept of fines, hour-long meetings, and breakfast meetings. Carol is open to suggestions for other ideas and looks forward to working with everyone next year.
Next week's speaker will be Bob Hunt's guest Cherise Hoak presenting "Saving Our Pollinators."
