Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, October 31st at Stoneforge, led by President George Mendros. We welcomed Linda LeBrun, Dan's guest for lunch.
Announcements:
The Kiwanis Club of Taunton is celebrating their 100th anniversary on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 6pm at Barrett's Alehouse (674 W. Center Street, West Bridgewater). All are welcome to attend as they honor Don Cleary. General Admission: $75. VIP Admission: $100 (includes extra drink ticket, swag bag, and five bonus raffle tickets). The Taunton High Christmas Party chicken sign up will start this week. Please let Ed know is you are able to attend and if you are bringing any guests so we can order catering accurately. The event will be 12/5.
Our holiday service project of the Triumph Christmas party will be held on 12/12. There will be approximately 30 kids to throw a party for and give gifts to. If you'd like to donate to this project, you can bring donations to a meeting or contribute using Venmo. If you use Venmo, please leave a note with the donation so we can track it properly.
The Interact Club had a successful trunk or treat! They ran out of candy in an hour! At the district level, a new student youth council had their first meeting with two Taunton Interact members. Great job, Interactors!

At our most recent meeting...
...Joe Mitchell was able to complete all of the donations from his presidential year. Our final donation was made to the Rotary Foundation, which allowed us to bestow a Paul Harris fellow on a club member. This year's recipient has been a champion of Taunton Rotary, was the leader of our 100th anniversary celebration, and exemplifies Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self": Dan Lebrun.
Ed Fowler had 5 Happy Bucks: for for Linda, for Dennis, and for a busy weekend of softball even though one of his granddaughters "took one for the team" and now has a broken elbow!
Zulmira was Happy for: AHS's upcoming wine tasting on 11/14; Dan; the Yankees NOT winning the World Series; and an extra for just being happy.
Carol Sullivan had 10 Happy Bucks. Two were for her two grandchildren, Kirstin at Bridgewater and Amanda at BCC, who are both doing well. The other 8 are for Dan!
Dave C. had a Happy Halloween buck. He had a Happy Buck for enjoying the Liberty & Union festival. He had a younger buck for his son's good hockey game recently. And a Happy Buck for Dan!
Dick had a Congratulations buck for Dan; a buck for enjoying Liberty and Union Day. And a buck for his dog who is named for Mookie Betts.
Jen had a Happy and congratulations buck for Dan! Also happy for a recent trip to Nashville.
Bob R. had a congratulations buck for Dan. Grateful that he was his sponsor.
Will had 10 bucks for Congratulations to Dan, Welcome to Dennis Cody (Sorry to Dennis for telling him the District Governor was coming today), Thanks to the club on behalf of Interact, and a few for getting to see his daughter at PC and see that she is thriving.
John D. had 4 happy bucks for the phones ringing off the hook with the new legislation recently passed; Congrats to Dan; he enjoyed Liberty and Union Day; and for AHS and the work they did for his son.
Dan L. Happy buck for his wife, who is even more exceptional than he thought she was. Thank you for the Paul Harris. Nice to see Dennis.
Jody had bucks for Dan and Dennis two of his longest Rotary friendships.
