Our most recent meeting was held on May 8, 2025 and led by President-Elect Bob Rezendes. We were also joined by Visiting Rotarian Rick Conti.

Dave C. shared exciting Family Fun Day updates: since our last meeting, we've raised an additional $2,500, bringing our total to a record-breaking $17,350! The lawn signs are being updated and should be able to be picked up at this week's meeting. "Rotarian at Work" T-shirts are now available if you need one. Our flyer is ready to go—click here to print and share. The QR code for registration is live, offering a fast and easy “Quick Check-In” option for attendees. The volunteer sign-up sheet is also live—please take a moment to sign up at the Sergeant-at-Arms desk and help make the day a success. Let’s keep spreading the word and showing love to all our amazing sponsors!

Rotary Day of Service. Area 7 (Rotary Clubs of Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton) will be collaborating with MS Walk: New Bedford on May 10th, 8:30am at Ft. Taber in New Bedford. Rotarians will be helping make the MS Walk a success by assisting with their walk-a-thon. Everyone is welcome to attend. ...we welcomed Sonja Britland and Mike Miezejeski from the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant (TMLP), who shared insights into the important work TMLP does to power our region. Serving approximately 100 square miles and maintaining over 40,000 meters, TMLP plays a vital role in supporting both residential and commercial development across the area. They currently have the capacity to generate 110 megawatts of electricity, but due to growing demand, they also import additional power to meet the needs of all customers. Sustainability remains a key focus for TMLP as they continue to plan for future growth and energy needs in Taunton and beyond.
