At our June 29th meeting, President Carol presided over her final meeting. She passed around several newspaper articles highlighting the recent good works of the Rotary Clubs and its members within the community. Of particular mention is Bill Corbett's Letter to the Editor regarding his retirement from CO-OP on June 30th. We wish Bill all the best and a very happy retirement.
The Board held a meeting on June 29th at 5:30 p.m. at Maureen's house. Many thanks to Maureen for hosting.
Ed Fowler annoucement: The two young ladies visiting from Taunton, England are arriving Saturday, July 1 for their two-week stay. The schedule is up-in-the-air pretty much until they board the flight back home, and there are still a few slots for activities and night hosts available. Thank to Ed, Claire, and Missy for all their work on this program. The young ladies will be giving a synopsis of their trip at our next meeting on July 13.
Mike Duff annoucement: Mike recently had a chance to connect with Dave Tipping. He is in good spirits and is about to undergo some immunotherapy -- treatment that uses your body's own immune system to help fight cancer cells-- which has good rates of success. Mike conveyed our good thoughts to Dave and we continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers during this fight.
Please note, there will be NO MEETING on July 6th. Have a wonderful Independence Day!
