From the President
President Carol ran her first meeting of the new Rotary year. She shared the club's condolences for Zulmira, whose mom passed away last week. She also shared that she did her best to encourage Dan not to attend after a triple bypass last week, but is glad to see him looking well. Joe Mitchell, with thanks for his Paul Harris Award, shared a Foundation Minute with those present.

Last Week's Speaker
Our Rotary Year ends in July, but Past President Joe had one more thing to take care of to close out his term as President. One of the best days of the year is when the Club is able to donate the money raised throughout the year back into the community. At our most recent meeting the Rotary Club of Taunton made donations to Old Colony YMCA - Taunton, Associates for Human Services, Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South - Taunton Clubhouse, Old Colony History Museum, Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America, PRIDE Inc., Pro Home Inc., and the Taunton Public Schools.
Congrats for the work you do in Greater Taunton!
Happy Bucks
Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?
  • Ed had a dollar and his condolences for Zulmira. He had a happy buck to see Dan. He had a thanks buck for Joe L. and a "thanks for taking on the presidency" buck for Carol.
  • Will had a happy buck for Dan doing better.
  • Joe M. had a "thank you" 5 for his Paul Harris award.
  • Julie had a happy buck to see Dan and a grateful buck for the real estate market keeping her busy.

  • Joe L. had a happy buck for Dan, a sad buck for Zulmira, and a buck to acknowledge football season is inching ever closer.
  • Dan L. quickly added a happy buck for Joe's self-delusion about the Giants. He had a sad buck for Zulmira. He was happy to be at the meeting after a procedure that took place "with flying colors."
