From the President

President Carol ran our meeting at Stoneforge. Carol updated those present on the recent board meeting. The Board approved a Paint Night at Taunton High School sometime after the holidays. There will also be a raffle ticket sale starting in October.

Carol passed around articles from the Taunton Daily Gazette involving Rotarians as well as an invitation to a Brewery Night the club received from the Old Colony Y in Easton.

Last Week's Speaker

At our most recent meeting, Carol Souza served as our Program Chair. She arranged for Steve "Tip" Torres to join us for lunch and share his musings on his time at City Hall. Steve served as City Solicitor for three administrations in Taunton and a fourth in Fall River. He shared with us stories of being "behind-the-scenes," near misses, and some of his memories from his time working in Taunton government. Thanks for joining us and thanks to Carol for arranging.

Happy Bucks

Ed had a happy buck for the Patriots winning/ Giants losing.
Will had a buck for our speaker Steve Torres and a buck for Dave C. who recently ran his first 5K.
Joe L. had a buck for his team's recent 43-14 rugby victory. He had a buck for his trip to Killington, VT for an 8-hour Spartan race. And he had a buck filled with boundless optimism for the Giants and their ability to rebound.
Jackie had a happy buck for golfing in the Chamber's golf tournament, thanks to shoes and socks from Jann Alden.
Dan L. had a happy buck for the TASC Appreciation Dinner invites being prepared and for all the sponsor pledges that have come in.
Dick had a happy buck for a busy Saturday night with both PRIDE's 50th-anniversary gala and the Downtown Taunton Foundation's Fall Fest.
John D. had a happy buck for his talk on cybersecurity at the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and a happy buck for the PC repair lab at the Alternative High School that's in the works thanks to conversations fostered at Rotary.
