At our most recent meeting..
...we welcomed Kim Rioux, who shared the impact of mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts and the organization’s growing work across Southeastern Massachusetts.
Members learned that becoming a mentor requires just four hours a month outside of school hours and a minimum one-year commitment. Children are typically enrolled between ages 7–12, and mentor matches are made through a detailed compatibility process designed to create lasting, successful connections.
Kim also emphasized that the organization is always looking for new mentors, accepts referrals, and involves parents or caregivers throughout the enrollment process.
